The Everest Three Pass Trek is designed for experienced hikers who are looking for a challenging trek in the Himalayas. This adventure-packed trek takes you through the mesmerizing landscapes of the Everest region. The trek passes through three high passes: Kongma La Pass (5,535m), Cho La Pass (5,420m), and Renjo La (5,360m), which offer stunning mountain views. The trek also takes you to the Base Camp of Mount Everest.

The trek begins at Lukla and follows the trail to Namche Bazaar, which is the gateway to the Everest region. Namche Bazaar is a vibrant town known as the Sherpa Capital. Trekkers spend an extra day here to acclimatize to the altitude before heading to the next destination. The trek then takes you to Tengboche, a beautiful village famous for its ancient monastery. The monastery is one of the most important religious sites in the Everest region and offers a glimpse into the unique culture and traditions of the local people. From Tengboche, you will hike to Dingboche (4,440m), where you will spend an extra day to acclimatize properly.

High Passes of Everest Three Pass Trek

The trail then takes you to the first mountain pass, Kongma La Pass, which offers majestic views of the Khumbu Glacier and the surrounding mountains. After reaching Lobuche via Kongma La Pass, trekkers then head to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep. The next pass is Cho La Pass, takes you to the beautiful Gokyo Valley. The valley is home to several glacial lakes, including the emerald green Gokyo Lake, one of the most beautiful lakes in the Himalayas. You will spend a day here to explore the valley and hike to Gokyo Ri, which offers breathtaking views of Mount Everest and the surrounding mountains.

The final pass is Renjo La Pass, which takes you to the beautiful village of Thame. The village is famous for its unique culture and traditions and offers a glimpse into the life of the Sherpa people. From Thame, you will follow the trail back to Lukla via Namche Bazaar.

The Everest Three Pass Trek is challenging and requires prior trekking experience. Trekkers should be properly acclimatized to prevent altitude sickness. However, our itinerary allows enough time for acclimatization. Our professional guides, who are well-trained and experienced in the route, make your journey meaningful and successful.
